Chris Cox Saddle – This Hand-Made Saddle is Worth a Look

In your search for the perfect saddle for you and your horse, the Chris Cox Signature Series Saddle is worthy of a second look. This saddle is gorgeous and handmade to the exacting standards of natural horseman, Chris Cox.

It was developed by Chris after years of research and features a seat which gives the rider a center ride with absolutely correct position and balance. The tree allows for comfortable shoulder movement of the horse, and many who have this saddle have said they noticed their horse rode much better with it than they had with their old saddle.

The saddle is made of Hermann Oak leather, and the tree is fiberglass-strengthened wood. The stirrups are pre-turned, meaning you don’t have to ride in it for months or years and wait for the stirrups to naturally turn to the angle of your foot. This makes it less likely that you’ll get out of the saddle with sore knees.

There are fender cutouts to allow for closer contact to your horse.

Now of course no saddle is going to fit every horse, but the Chris Cox saddle seems to be one that fits a wide variety of horses. When researching on the Internet I noticed most of the people who have this saddle say that it fits not one but all of the horses they own and they don’t notice pinching or soreness anymore as they had with some other saddles. In some cases these are people who have tried many different fixes in the past to try to find a great saddle fit including buying expensive pads that simply did not work for their horse.

In addition to the other great qualities, this saddle is simply beautiful. I have watched Chris Cox on RFD-TV for years and I find that he is one of my favorite clinicians, if not my absolute favorite. I agree with his training methods and I love the way he teaches in his clinics. I have great confidence that anything he designs is going to be of super high quality. This may be a saddle I’ll have to check out closer in the near future and may need to add to my collection.
